A woman that tried to drive a car with a young child inside through a White House barricade Thursday, resulting in a chase toward the U.S. Capitol, has been pronounced dead, according to D.C. Police Chief Cathy Lanier.

The suspect was unarmed and all gunshots were fired by police officers, according to the Washington Post.
