During an interview with CNN Monday afternoon, Donald Trump’s running mate Mike Pence deflected questions about which records Trump might release about his health to the campaign.

When asked if Trump might release the results of his physical last week or other health records, Pence said those questions should be directed to Trump campaign staff in New York.

“I think he is going to be providing the latest information on his health, which I think is the relevant information, but I’d refer you to the Trump campaign specifically and to the organization in New York about what they choose to do and when they choose to do it,” Pence told Wolf Blitzer.

The Trump campaign has aggressively attacked Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton over her health, but has released little information about Trump’s own fitness and wellbeing.

During the interview with Blitzer, Pence argued that the American people would learn more about the GOP nominee’s fitness in upcoming days, but that from his own perspective, Trump was in fine shape.

“I can tell you, having campaigned, and the last couple months here, he is a man who is vigorous,” Pence said. “I’m very confident as that information comes forward, the American people will see confirmed that this is a man who does have the energy and physical ability and stamina to be president of the United States.”

  1. Mandatory: “Bravely ran Sir Robin, Sir Robin ran away!” Pence is almost as “deplorable” as his running mate, just a bit more timid. Screw the both of them, with any luck, the closest they will get to the White House is on the visitor’s tour.
