House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-WI) on Wednesday said that Republican lawmakers will move to address Obamacare as quickly as possible next year.
“We need to get Obamacare relief to families as fast as possible,” he told reporters at a press conference on Capitol Hill. “That is our plan.”
Ryan would not further address the House’s priorities for the next Congress when Donald Trump takes office.
The speaker told Wisconsin radio station WCLO that addressing Obamacare would be one of his top priorities next year and that the House would work on that “early on the agenda.” Ryan listed boosting the economy by reducing regulations, making changes to the tax code, and securing the border as other top priorities during his WCLO interview.
