President Barack Obama offered a blunt response on Wednesday after being asked about the rape allegations surrounding the former beloved comedian Bill Cosby.
“If you give a woman or a man for that matter without his or her knowledge a drug and then have sex with that person without consent, that’s rape,” Obama said at a press conference at the White House.
“I think this country, any civilized country, should have no tolerance for rape,” he said.
Obama declined to comment more specifically citing the potential of pending civil or criminal ligation.
He also said there is “no mechanism” for revoking a Presidential Medal of Freedom, which Cosby received in 2002.
Watch his comments here:
Clear, concise, and all that really needs to be said from the podium of the POTUS.
“He also said there is “no mechanism” to revoking a Presidential Medal of Freedom, which Cosby received in 2002.”
In other words, “boy, would I like to do that.”
Consider an asterisk beside that medal, at the very least…
Ha! My faith in the press remains as they quickly move (I ran, They ran) to the Cosby question skipping the disembowelment of Major Garrett…
Tour de force Prez, though as press gets smaller and smaller.
The big take away from the President’s press conference to discuss NUCLEAR WEAPONS!
