President Obama on Sunday surprised U.S. troops in Afghanistan with a visit to Bagram Air Field.

The President thanked the troops for their service and assured them that “America’s war in Afghanistan will come to a responsible end.”

  1. This was a very fitting way for him to spend the Memorial Day weekend, with a few White House and Air Force One and security crew members along. Now, let’s have Congress fix what’s wrong with the V.A. next week, by passing a bill for extended coverage Republicans defeated in February, and send them all home for a summer vacation for a month or two, and bring them back in August to fix immigration, minimum wage, and require all states and districts to make use of Medicaid expansion monies that the ACA made available. Then let’s get all the anti-science Congresspersons out of Congress with the November elections and send them home with no pensions and no health insurance. That would be JUSTICE!
