Fox News commentator Monica Crowley called the Republican National Committee’s pledge for candidates not to mount a third party run is “stupid and insulting” during an appearance on Fox News Thursday.

Crowley continued: “I don’t blame the candidates who are signing it, but I think they’re trying to box Trump in.”

The loyalty pledge not to run as an independent if they fail to win the party nomination is reportedly being circulated among the 2016 candidates.

The remarks came shortly after New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie signed the pledge live on Fox.

  2. You know, it really starts my day off on the wrong foot to find I agree with a Fox commentator.

  3. No one other than Trump would be able to mount a third party challenge. Not even Jeb!

Not only is it stupid and insulting, but it makes whoever signs it look weak.

  5. its as stupid as the Loyalty Oaths were back in the '50s… the Commies happily signed them and the people that refused were treated to Black Lists because they were now KNOWN to be Commies by standing up for their rights…
