Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell’s (R-KY) response to Democratic U.S. Senate nominee Alison Lundergan Grimes’ new ad saying McConnell doesn’t know how to hold a gun links Grimes to President Barack Obama.
The campaign tweeted out a picture of Grimes holding a gun in her new ad and Obama shooting a gun below. The two pictures were separated by the text Grimes = Obama.

The photo of Obama is from one released by the White House of the President skeet shooting.
Guns have been an ongoing theme in the Kentucky Senate race. Grimes previously criticized McConnell over how he held a gun on stage at the Conservative Political Action Conference in March. She also once challenged McConnell to go to a gun range with her. Local press has also reported that McConnell has refused to say whether he owns a gun.
The TPM Polltracker gives McConnell a 5.1 point lead over Grimes.
