Georgia candidate for U.S. Senate Michelle Nunn (D) said she voted for President Barack Obama. An admission that will likely keep her from getting the same treatment that Secretary of State Alison Lundergan Grimes

The question first arose when the opposition research group America Rising released a clip of Nunn staying silent while the America Rising tracker asked her who she voted for. That clip was a sort of followup to Grimes declining to say who she voted for — despite being asked multiple times by a Kentucky editorial board. Coverage of the Kentucky Senate race focused on Grimes’ refusal over the next few days.

It seems Nunn didn’t want the same treatment. She said she voted for Obama in 2008 and 2012.

“I did vote for the president. I have said throughout the campaign that we need more people in Washington working with the president — Republican or Democrat — to get things done,” Nunn said according to The Washington Post on Friday. “I pledge to do that on behalf of Georgians.”

The TPM Polltracker average gives Nunn a 2.4 point lead over the rest of the field.
