Twitter users on Tuesday resurfaced a piping hot take from Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) in 2009 when he tweeted about the need for Iran to have its own 2nd Amendment for guns.

The tweet originally was published in the midst of the June 2009 protests stemming from allegations of elections fraud and the violent Iranian government crackdown that followed.
