Villere has only been able to get in touch with McAllister's chief of staff, but not the congressman himself.

Melissa Peacock, the district scheduler McAllister was caught kissing, has resigned, but the congressman has said that he will not step down.

McAllister apologized on Monday.

"There's no doubt I've fallen short and I'm asking for forgiveness," he said in a statement. "I'm asking for forgiveness from God, my wife, my kids, my staff, and my constituents who elected me to serve."
