The GOP’s effort to appeal to women and minority voters has been stopped cold with the party’s support of real estate mogul Donald Trump’s presidential campaign, according to “The Daily Show” on Thursday night.
Trump, a billionaire, should be on the other side of the political process, according to Stewart.
“People like him are supposed to buy the candidates — not be them! In our system of government, one branch has the money,” Stewart said. “And the other branch does what the one branch with the money tells them! He’s screwing the whole pooch!”
Next week’s debate will give other candidates a chance to move to the front of the crowded GOP field, but it remains unclear who will be in the 10-candidate primetime debate. Fox hasn’t said which national polls will be used to determine candidate selection.
“Ah, you’re going to look at the polls and Roger Ailes is going to pick whoever he wants,” Stewart said. “Or at least that’s what he told me in our secret meetings.”

I’m gonna miss him.
And Stewart, too!
Donald Trump is the voice of the GOP. He speaks to the core of what the GOP is. What’s more, polling is showing that the Dems could run a coat rack with a bucket on top and beat him.
