Jerry DeLemus, a co-chair of Veterans for Trump in New Hampshire who was arrested on federal charges related to the 2014 Bundy Ranch standoff earlier this month, has been named as an alternative delegate to the Republican National Convention for the Trump campaign.

Gawker first reported Sunday that DeLemus’ name appeared on the list of Trump’s New Hampshire delegates. His wife, state Rep. Susan DeLemus (R), also is listed as an alternate delegate while Trump’s campaign manager Corey Lewandowski is listed as a delegate.

DeLemus was arrested on charges that included “conspiracy to commit an offense against the United States, threatening a federal law enforcement officer, attempting to impede or injure a federal law enforcement officer and several firearms charges,” the New Hampshire Union Leader reported at the time.

The standoff in Nevada came after federal officials moved to impound Nevada rancher Cliven Bundy’s cattle, which he’d grazed on federal land for decades without paying fees. Bundy invited hundreds of followers, many of them armed, to his ranch to push back against the federal agents.

More recently, Bundy’s sons, Ammon and Ryan Bundy, occupied a federal wildlife refuge in rural Oregon for more than a month before they were taken into custody.

DeLemus had visited the refuge and Oregon and said that he wanted Trump to hear the “whole story” of the occupation. Though Trump never visited the refuge, he did say that he would have acted to end the standoff because “you cannot let people take over federal property.”
