“Late Show” host Stephen Colbert ripped Republican presidential candidate and former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush on Wednesday for raising campaign funds by raffling off a ticket to the show’s first episode in which the GOPer is set to be interviewed.

The awkward part? Bush didn’t ask Colbert if it would be OK.

Bush offered those who donated $3 to his campaign a chance for an expense-paid trip to NYC and tickets to Colbert’s first show Tuesday during which he and George Clooney are scheduled to be guests.

Tickets to the “Late Show” are free.

Colbert released a video on Wednesday knocking Bush and trying to one-up his fundraising.

“No one from Jeb’s campaign asked me if this was OK with me to raise money off my first show. Where’s my cut of that sweet three bucks, governor, huh?” Colbert said in the video. “I’m sorry I’m yelling, but again, you’re the one who put an exclamation mark at the end of your name.”

“Well, two can play at this contest, sir,” he added.

In Colbert’s raffle, people can donate $3 to enter. The winner will get to attend the show and give Colbert a “non obscene” question to ask Bush.

Colbert said the donations would go toward the Yellow Ribbon Fund, which helps support injured soldiers.

Bush responded on Twitter with a video announcement of his own. He said that he would lower his raffle entry fee to $1, and would become a contestant in Colbert’s own raffle by donating to the Yellow Ribbon Fund. He did not say in the video whether he would donate more than $3.
