Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee (R) on Monday said that he believes President Obama has committed many impeachable offenses.

Iowa radio host Steve Deace asked Huckabee if Obama has done anything “worthy of being impeached,” according to a recording on Right Wing Watch.

“Absolutely,” Huckabee responded. “There’s no doubt that he has done plenty of things worthy of impeachment.”

The former governor and presidential candidate then lamented that there wouldn’t be enough votes in the Senate to actually impeach Obama.

“But I think it’s an important argument to make, that there are a number of things that this president has done in the overuse of an executive power, his complete ignoring of the law, even his own law,” Huckabee added.

Earlier in the segment, Huckabee railed against Obama for the way he has handled the crisis at the border, suggesting that Obama build a fence along the border like Israel’s fence in parts of the West Bank.

“The government is going to have to secure the border,” he said. “There’s a big difference between what we owe God and what we owe Caesar, and right now we’ve got Caesar acting like God.”

  1. Republicans don’t talk about impeachment. Except when they do.

Quote the law, Huckster, or get lost.

  2. hey got to get the base to the polls somehow…

  3. Huckabee is just like the rest of them, on the one hand railing at Obama for acting on his own when the Congress refuses to act, and on the other hand, scoring him for not doing more on his own when the Congress refuses to act.

In their eyes, no matter what choice the President makes or does not make, it is the wrong thing to do by virtue of the fact that he is both a black man and a Democrat, and so by definition anything he does has to be wrong. That’s the long and short of it.

  4. Huckleberry obviously didn’t get the memo about only the D’s talking about impeachment.

  5. Huckabee is spewing nothing but a smelly seething cesspool of biblical santorum. His version of biblical christyranny is full of hate and ignorance. Another southern bigot telling America what to think and pretending he has been talking to his christyrannical god.
