The House passed Thursday two more partial spending bills to fund part of the Department of Veteran Affairs to administer veterans benefits.
The bill passed 259-157.
Earlier in the day, the House passed 265-160 a bill to pay for the National Guard and military reserve.
Senate Democratic leaders have already said the bills won’t clear that chamber, and the White House has threatened to veto any attempt at piecemeal funding of the government.
The House has also passed bills to fund the National Parks Service and the National Institutes of Health on Wednesday.
