The House Ethics Committee announced Monday that it has formed a subcommittee to investigate Rep. Trey Radel (R-FL) after he was charged with cocaine possession.

The investigative subcommittee will determine whether Radel violated the law or code of conduct as a lawmaker, according to an Ethics Committee statement.

Radel has not stepped down from office, but instead took a leave of absence and checked into a rehabilitation facility.
