Hillary Clinton plans to hold a news conference Tuesday to address her exclusive use of a private email account to conduct business as secretary of state, several media outlets reported.
CBS News reported that Clinton is expected to address the issue Tuesday afternoon at the United Nations, where she is scheduled to speak at a session on women’s empowerment. The report cited an anonymous source close to the former secretary of state.
MSNBC and CNN also reported that Clinton would talk about the emails on Tuesday, citing anonymous sources and an aide, respectively.
The only public statement Clinton has made about the disputed emails to date was a tweet calling on the State Department to release her correspondence to the public:
I want the public to see my email. I asked State to release them. They said they will review them for release as soon as possible.
