The Commission on Presidential Debates announced plans to host four general election debates in 2016 on Wednesday.

According to a statement from the nonpartisan commission posted online, there will be four presidential debates in September and October, 2016: at Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio (Sept. 26), Washington University in St. Louis, (Oct. 9), and University of Nevada-Las Vegas (Oct. 19).

A vice presidential debate is scheduled for Oct. 4 at Longwood University in Farmville, Va.

The commission will announce the debate format and criteria for candidate selection in the “near future,” according to the statement.

Wow. I knew social media had grown important in our politics, but they’re actually holding a debate in Farmville?

  2. Nothing on the west coast?

I think Washington University in St. Louis gets a presidential debate almost every time around it seems.

  4. Yeah, but you can only watch if you “like” one of the candidates first.

  5. there will be four presidential debates in September and October, 2016

Then they continue on to list three. Next paragraph the vice presidential debate is listed.

Might it have made more sense to lead off with "there will be four general election debates … "

I thought for a moment I lost my ability to count to 4. [okay so I’m a little picky … it’s a cranky day]
