Sen. Jeff Flake (R-AZ) on Sunday said that he thinks the GOP needs to move on from the Benghazi scandal.

On NBC’s “Meet the Press,” host Chuck Todd asked Flake if it was time for Republicans to stop harping on the Benghazi attack now that the House Intelligence Committee found there was no wrongdoing on the part of the Obama administration.

“Well, I’ve always thought the biggest problem with Benghazi is how it was cast by the administration and the remarks that Susan Rice just really threw in the face of what we knew was going on,” Flake responded. “But with regard to the other things that were addressed by this report, well, yes, I thought for a long time that we ought to move beyond that.”

    No shit Sherlock…Ya think?..Geeze.

How about moving on and asking Boehner to do his damned job and get his chamber working. Wouldn’t that be creative?

  2. They just can’t let it go. Flake is no better although he’s trying to appear to be.

Susan Rice didn’t throw anything in the face of what “they knew” was going on because ‘they’ didn’t know then and despite numerous full reports, they refuse to know now what went on.
Moving on isn’t the fix, accepting reality, admitting their over zealous mistakes and apologizing is the first big step. Repaying our wasted tax dollars would seal the deal but these guys are exempt from making amends.
This is but another stinky necklace hanging around the Republican’s collective neck and since they’ll never, ever admit fault, this doozy will be wreaking for a long time.
It does match the WMD charm quite well though, so they’ve got that going for them.

  3. “We’ve tried bullshit, the birth certificate and Benghazi. Maybe we need to try something that starts with ‘C’ and see if it sticks to the President.”

  4. but can anyone really get over Macho Grande?

  5. Wow, he’s not as dumb as I originally thought.

Ya better speak with Ms Lindsay…
