An Atlanta-area radio DJ was fired after he was caught recycling a year-old interview earlier this week from Republican president candidate Donald Trump, according to a report from the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

The radio station’s program director Greg Tantum gave this statement to AJC.com on Friday about Steve McCoy:

For obvious reasons Steve McCoy no longer works at the station. Cheryl White, Drew Nelson and Randy Wyles will continue to provide Atlanta with a high energy news product that accentuates breaking news as well as in depth coverage on the top stories.

McCoy told BuzzFeed on Tuesday that in order to get an interview with the Republican frontrunner, he had to agree to not ask any policy questions. Trump’s lawyer said the interview was actually a year old.
