After repeatedly lashing out at Fox News host Megyn Kelly over the weekend, Donald Trump returned to Fox News for a phone interview on “Fox and Friends.”

“Glad you’re back with us and glad we’re friends again,” co-host Steve Doocy said as he welcomed Trump to the show.

“Well we are friends, Steve. We’ve always been friends,” Trump responded.

Fox News has not made much mention of Trump’s comment that Megyn Kelly had “blood coming out of her wherever” during the debate. And on Tuesday morning, Doocy did not ask Trump about his remarks about Kelly, instead asking the GOP frontrunner about his policy ideas.

Fox News Chairman Roger Ailes said in a Monday evening statement that he had “blunt but cordial conversation” with Trump on Monday and that “the air has been cleared.” Kelly declined to apologize to Trump and said Monday night that she would not respond to Trump’s personal attacks on her.

Following his interview with “Fox and Friends,” Trump joined CNN’s “New Day,” where co-host Chris Cuomo asked Trump to if he made a “deal” with Fox News on Monday.

“Roger Ailes has been a friend of mine for a long time. He called me yesterday,” Trump responded. “I was very angry with the way I was treated.”

Trump added, “As far as I’m concerned, I’m fine with it.”

Cuomo pressed Trump, asking if Trump made a deal with Fox to keep Megyn Kelly from responding to Trump’s attacks against her.

“We didn’t even discuss that. It’s not about Megyn Kelly,” Trump replied. “There was a misinterpretation of what I said.”

Trump said that “unless you’re a deviant, you don’t put those words in,” referring to his comment that Kelly had “blood coming out of her wherever” during the debate.

“I went to the hardest school to get into, the best school in the world I guess you could say, the Wharton school of finance. It’s like super genius stuff,” Trump said. “Who would make a statement like that?”

  1. Ailes put his pencil to paper and determined there was more money in it to keep Trump on his team. So this amounts to kicking Megyn under the bus…

    Hope she enjoys that.

  2. So did they have a bunch of bodybuilders carry Trump onto the Three Stooges set in a sedan chair?

  3. Like a dog to its vomit…

“You have proven your superior intellect, and defeated the plans of Megyn Kelly. You do not need to defeat her again.”
