Fox News Chairman Roger Ailes on Monday evening said that he has spoken with Donald Trump since the real estate mogul lashed out against Fox host Megyn Kelly.

Trump on Monday morning said that Ailes called him to assure that Trump will be “treated fairly,” and Ailes confirmed that the call took place in a Monday statement.

“Donald Trump and I spoke today. We discussed our concerns, and I again expressed my confidence in Megyn Kelly. She is a brilliant journalist and I support her 100 percent,” Ailes said in a statement. “I assured him that we will continue to cover this campaign with fairness & balance. We had a blunt but cordial conversation and the air has been cleared.”

Trump launched a battle with Fox News after Megyn Kelly asked him about his treatment of women. He said the question was “unfair,” and later said that Kelly had “blood coming out of her wherever” during the debate.

Kelly also addressed Trump’s comments on Monday night and said she “will not apologize for doing good journalism.”

  1. Translation: We have bowed down, sucked his dick, and are throwing Megyn under the bus.

  2. We’ll take his advertising money the same as the other candidates.

  3. hmmm…how many boxes of matches did they have to go thru to get rid of the smell? :hankey: :mask:

  4. You know your country is screwed when the highest rated cable “news” station and the current frontrunner for President to a major political party are at odds with each other over who has more legitimacy - the junk journalists with an obvious agenda, or the non-serious guy with a bad comb-over making jokes about said journalists menstrual cycle.

  5. This was the right thing to do. Glad Roger is being a full fledged adult in this disaster.

Donald Trump is still leading despite Chris Wallace, Brett Baier and Megan Kelly’s spirited efforts to throw Donald Trump’s campaign under the bus on behalf of the corporate kleptorcrat Republican establishment.

Donald Trump has plenty of campaign money for advertising that could pay for hiring and grooming the next Foxy News blonde to take over Megyn’s job. This move by Roger Ailes is good for Foxy News Australian and Saudi shareholders.
