Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump said in an interview published Monday in The New York Times that he agreed with GOP rival Jeb Bush — the Washington Redskins football team should keep its name.

Bush said last week that name should remain and that he didn’t find it offensive.

“I don’t think it should change it. But again, I don’t think politicians ought to have any say in that to be honest with you,” Bush said. “I don’t find it offensive. Native American tribes generally don’t find it offensive.”

Trump echoed those sentiments, according to the Times.

“Honestly, I don’t think they should change the name, unless the owner wanted to,” Trump said, according to the report. “I know Indians that are extremely proud of that name. They think it’s a positive.”

When the reporter asked whether this agreement meant Bush and Trump were turning over a new leaf, Trump reportedly laughed and said, “It’s progress.”
