Republican presidential candidate and former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush told a radio show in an interview set to air Friday that he doesn’t find the name of the Washington Redskins football team offensive and that he’s “missing something here.”
Here’s are comments from SiriusXM’s latest newest (from ABC News’ Rick Klein and ESPN’s Andy Katz) called “The Arena”:
I don’t think it should change it. But again, I don’t think politicians ought to have any say in that to be honest with you. I don’t find it offensive. Native American tribes generally don’t find it offensive. We had a similar kind of flap with FSU if you recall, the Seminoles, and the Seminole tribe itself kind of came to the defense of the university and it subsided. It’s a sport for crying out loud. It’s a football team. Washington has a huge fan base…I’m missing something here I guess.
Remember, as The Hill reported Friday, Redskins owner Dan Snyder donated $100,000 to the super PAC supporting the latest Bush’s presidential run.
Here’s the audio:
He speaks for them Redskins too! Jeb, you have the outreach thing down.
Of course you don’t. Moron.
I guess.
JEB could lock up the 1956 nomination…Screw Ike.
About 50 years ago it would be: ’
“They’re just drinking fountains, for crying out loud.”
