CNN anchor and walking gaffe reel Don Lemon said “bullshit” on air Thursday night while reading a salty quote from Fox News host Bill O’Reilly.
Lemon and fellow CNN host Brian Stelter were discussing a Mother Jones report that disputed O’Reilly’s account of covering the Falklands War from directly inside a “war zone.” He cursed while reading back a statement O’Reilly gave to Mediaite refuting that report.
“He says ‘It’s total bullshit,'” Lemon said. “B.S. Excuse me. Total B.S. Pardon me, I did not mean for that to come out.”
A few minutes later, Lemon turned to look directly at a CNN camera and apologized again for the slip-up.
“Again, my apologies for using that word,” he said. “It’ll never happen again. It was just a slip of the tongue.”
