The Dallas Police department has released new details Friday about the suspect accused of killing five police officers and wounding seven others.

In a statement released Friday afternoon, the department officially identified the suspect as 25-year-old Micah Johnson and confirmed previous reports that he was an Army veteran.

It reads in part:

“The deceased suspect has been identified as Micah Johnson, B/M/25. The suspect has no criminal history. Information provided through the course of the investigation, indicates that the suspect was an Army veteran and others have identified him as a loner. The suspect’s Facebook account included the following names and information: Fahed Hassen, Richard GRIFFIN aka Professor Griff, GRIFFIN embraces a radical form of Afrocentrism, and GRIFFIN wrote a book A Warriors Tapestry.

During the search of the suspect’s home, detectives found bomb making materials, ballistic vests, rifles, ammunition, and a personal journal of combat tactics. Detectives are in the process of analyzing the information contained in the journal.”

  1. Now there’s a photo worth a thousand words.

  2. Richard GRIFFIN aka Professor Griff, GRIFFIN embraces a radical form of Afrocentrism, and GRIFFIN wrote a book A Warriors Tapestry.

I’d say something past this point, but…

    Yeah

  3. I think people in a city generally have a pretty good idea whether the police are trying to get it right or not. And people who know seem to say the Dallas police are trying, successfully, the people know it, and the protest wasn’t about the local situation. And maybe police know as well as anyone that a random person snapping doesn’t say much about groups that person might belong to. Hope so.

  4. Indeed it is. So much so that I’m shocked that anyone in the media picked up and published it. Maybe if we saw more of this and heard the voices behind such acts we could move forward with some much needed healing and discussing in America.

But when was the last time MSM did good by America? I guess that being civil minded and working to bring change that is net positive does not sell anymore.

Sad times for our country between this and the presidential campaign. SO far today I’ve managed to not hear of what tRump said, did or tweeted today.

And that’s the only good thing from the MSM today…July 8.2016

  5. Well, goodness me, now Glen’s on the radio telling his Beckerheads that we need to apologize for treating black people like dirt.

Except, I remember back in 08 when the Congress passed a resolution condemning Jim Crow, the Beckster mocked the hell out of it. Remember that?

He’s done lots and lots of other racist stuff. Glen hates Media Matters for good reason. It keeps track.

Just wanna make sure you know you created messes like this.
