Multiple news outlets on Friday morning identified the Dallas shooting suspect killed by police as Micah Xavier Johnson, citing various law enforcement sources.
Dallas police have not yet publicly confirmed the identity of the suspect.

The Los Angeles Times reported that law enforcement said that the suspect does not have a criminal history or any known ties to terrorist groups. Investigators also told the LA Times that the suspect may have belonged to a gun club and practiced target shooting.

Reuters and CNN reported that Johnson was a member of the U.S. Army reserve.

Can’t help but note that the picture currently making the rounds is a picture of the shooter wearing African dress while they are shortening his name to Micah X. Johnson, notice the LA Times tweet right at the top. There is a twisting of the narrative happening right in front of our eyes. Here is a photo of the army veteran everyone is talking about.
One deranged, racially motivated black guy kills 5 people, it’s a national crisis and civil war. One white guy, Dylan Roof, kills 9 black people, it’s ‘thoughts and prayers’ and business as usual.
Micah X. sounds sinister. Micah Xavier sounds Catholic.
Yes, that jumped out at me too.
This really begs the question of what made him do vs. is this person/vet capable of causing harm to others…
Now we know how he got his hands on the IEDs.
