Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) said Monday at the Fox News town hall that his rival Hillary Clinton was “trying to frighten” people into thinking they’d lose healthcare under his plan.
A doctor asked Sanders at the town hall how he’d be able to “make the leap” from “Obamacare” to his own healthcare plan.
“Well, that’s what Secretary Clinton is trying to frighten people about. As somebody who has spent my entire life fighting for universal health care to cover everybody, I assure you that we’re not going to leave anybody out,” Sanders said. “The point is to cover more people.”
Bernie is sounding increasingly unhinged. I’m ready for him to go spittle on someone else. I used to really like him, but his ego is causing him to be a real spoiler and we don’t have that luxury.
As opposed to you, Bernie, claiming you will expand health care.
Were you around the last six or seven years?
Didn’t exactly answer the man’s question did he?
Looks to me that he’s right. Clinton has been trying to scare people.
I’m glad we have the ACA. But its shortcomings are major. We still have 20-30 million uncovered people and our drug costs are still prohibitive.
Bernie needs to fight for something better. If he has to go through and over Clinton to do so then that is what needs done.
There’s a crazy little thing called the House. And they’re not buying into anything the Dems propose wrt healthcare.
