Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton on Wednesday railed against presumptive GOP nominee Donald Trump, saying that Trump University’s legal troubles go to show the businessman would “scam” the country like he did the people who took his seminars.
Clinton said that Trump and his employees took advantage of people and encouraged them to “max out their credit cards, empty their retirement savings, destroy their financial futures all while making promises they knew were false from the beginning.”
“This is just more evidence that Donald Trump himself is a fraud,” Clinton said at a rally in Newark, New Jersey. “He is trying to scam America the way he scammed all those people at Trump U.”
A federal judge on Tuesday unsealed pages and pages of documents as part of a class action lawsuit against Trump University claiming people who paid thousands of dollars for an education there were misled. The documents revealed the sometimes aggressive techniques used by those associated with Trump U to encourage people to sign up for the pricey classes.
Clinton also went on a full-on tweetstorm earlier Wednesday tearing apart Trump University:
New documents confirm Trump “University” was a scam that preyed on families to make money. Caution—may cause nausea. https://t.co/d2qYRLKsou

The gist: Trump’s for-profit university deceived & exploited students to take their money.
And he has the gall to call the media “sleazy.”

Some of Trump University’s tactics: push people to take on debt, cash out retirement, max out credit cards—whatever it took to buy classes.

Another Trump University practice, according to its own employees: target struggling families to fleece them. pic.twitter.com/VUH18SpBlD

Trump University employed instructors with no experience and lied to sell outrageously expensive packages. In a word: fraud.

It’s one thing to sell steaks using a name as a marketing ploy. Trump’s company intentionally put people at risk. pic.twitter.com/5F4siYeO8p

Trump’s candidacy is built on his business “credibility.” But his business record matches his character: His only concern is his own profit.

The Trump University con says a lot about Trump. If you can’t trust him with your personal finances—how can we trust him with our country?

John Miller, John Barron, or Donald Trump…which of these three is a fraud? Trick question, they all are.
Great hammer drop Mrs. President-elect!
As I mentioned in another thread, seems this scam for which he is being sued over is under specific fraud statutes (as Josh mentioned in the Ed Blog) that cover scams targeting the elderly. What a disgusting man.
More of this, Madame Secretary/President Clinton!! – Tell it like it is!!
Get 'em, Hillary!!
