Tea Party favorite State Sen. Chris McDaniel is airing an ad accusing his opponent, incumbent Sen. Thad Cochran (R-MS) of engaging in dirty, shameless political attacks just after Cochran’s campaign linked McDaniel to a conspiracy to photograph Cochran’s wife in a nursing home.
“You’ve probably seen Thad Cochran’s negative attack ads. Newspapers call them shameless. I call them outrageous,” McDaniel said in the ad.
McDaniel goes on to say that “Mississippians need a senator who will repeal Obamacare entirely, limit government spending, and stand up for working families.”
The ad comes on the heels of another attack ad by the Cochran campaign linking McDaniel to local political blogger “Constitutional Clayton” Kelly who is at the center of an ongoing investigation into the photographing of Cochran’s wife for an anti-Cochran attack video. Three other suspects have been arrested in connection to Kelly.
“Chris McDaniel supporter charged with a felony for posting video of Sen. Thad Cochran’s wife in a nursing home,” the narrator in the Cochran ad said. “Had enough?”
The ad then pivots to highlighting Cochran’s conservative credentials.
“Rise up and say no to dirty politics and yes to our strong conservative leader, Thad Cochran,” the narrator said in the Cochran ad.

No matter what happens a lot of Mississippi Republicans or Tea Party Members are going to stay home in November. I wonder if the Democrats might give Cochran or McDaniel a scare this fall.
If you lie down with dogs, you get up with fleas…
It doesn’t matter if you were involved…he’s your buddy. You are linked.
When you have an abundance of out-of-state cash funding your campaign, you can buy “blame the victim” ads on television. Time was, in the days of “equal time” TV politics, this sort of hideous politicking did not get on the air. Time to peel back the onion layers on this McDaniel jerk.
The whole state of Mississippi is going to need a shower after this election cycle.
Nice little logo of his name, where part of the M is on fire. I bet he wishes his name started with a T, so he could use a burning cross instead.
