Noted Dallas Cowboys fan Chris Christie had no dog in Sunday’s Super Bowl fight, so he spent his day at an English Premier League soccer match instead.
Arsenal put up Christie, who is on a three-day trade mission to London, at Emirates Stadium for its match against Aston Villa, according to the Associated Press. Christie aides said he’d reimburse the team.

“Game was great,” Christie said afterward, as quoted by the AP. “We got five goals in one game – highly unusual – so it was good.”
He said he did catch the all-important American football game later at a British pub, though:

How “European” of him. He’s obviously no Gawd feern 'Murkin.
Can you imagine the GOP outrage if Obama had done this?
To be fair, he chose a damn good pub to watch it in.
And in soccer we actually do get teams that can truly be called “world champions” - enjoyed the Super Bowl but that bit is always a bit galling.
All Republicans love anything called Arsenal.
Candidate Obama went to Hawaii for vacation in 2008 and the criticism was that it was too exotic.
