Cellphone video shows two gunmen shooting a police officer execution-style on the street during an attack Wednesday on the French satirical newspaper Charlie Hebdo.
The video shows two masked men, dressed in black and carrying rifles, walking slowly forward from a small black car. The camera shakes as loud bangs are heard, then refocuses on the two men crossing the street toward a policeman laying on the sidewalk.
One gunman is then shown firing a shot at the police officer as the officer turns with his hands up. Initial reports were unclear whether the officer was killed. The gunmen then run back to the car and drive away from the scene.
It’s unclear exactly how many assailants carried out the attacks on Charlie Hebdo’s central Paris offices. At least 12 people were killed, reportedly including publisher Stéphane Charbonnier, also known as Charb.
Watch below. WARNING: The video is graphic and disturbing.
Sick bastards. Good footage though, got the license plate and vehicle very clearly. So any potential exchange of vehicles caught elsewhere on surveillance cameras can be easier to trace, as well a possible rental agency for the car, and many other avenues of investigation. Huge aid for Law Enforcement.
And brave of the person to film it with all those bullets flying around!
Did not, will not watch.
Agreed, the discription was enough. No need to view it.
You made the right decision. I wish I had.
