A black box recovered from the scene and pulverized pieces of debris strewn across Alpine mountainsides held clues to what caused a German jetliner to take an unexplained eight-minute dive Tuesday midway through a flight from Spain to Germany, apparently killing all 150 people on board. 1. Please, tell us: what is a “Terrorist Background” ?

Do you mean a specific religion or skin colour ?

  2. No, that means part of a terrorist group or that his actions were politically motivated… They know who he is, and at this point there are no indications he was motivated by politics. But they will be searching his internet activity and home for sure. Germany does have domestic terror groups. The National Socialist Underground are far right nut jobs who have done terror attacks. Perhaps he sympathized with them, etc. If he did, it’s a terror attack. If not, it’s mental illness.

  3. I am old enough also to remember the RAF (“Rote Armee Fraktion”), thank you (Denmark shares a border with Germany, so news leak over…).

I think the term “Terrorist Background” is utter nonsense, Either you are a terrorist or not.

if the BND or BfV had any suspicion about the co-pilot, they would have the guy grounded in a second.

  4. If you recently decided to do a terror act, you would not have a terrorist background per se. If I take a job where a chef is training me to cook, after one week I certainly don’t have a cooking background.

Back to your initial comment, a quick investigation yielded no such info of him being associated with any terror group (like the domestic terror group I referenced). What does that have to do with religion or skin color?

He does have a “depression” background it seems. Id’ say that is the likely issue at this point, though this is still all very preliminary.

  5. Please define “Terrrorist Background”, thanks.
