Wilbur Ross’ Calendar Gives Clues About How A Citizenship Question Ended Up On The Census

A July 2017 email chain — released this summer, as part of the Census citizenship question litigation — suggested that Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach was seeking, at the time, to get on the phone with Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross to follow up on phone conversation they had “a few months ago” about adding the controversial question.
