Donald Trump has overtaken Hillary Clinton in a Monmouth University poll of Nevada, despite her several-point advantage in the pollster’s previous survey.

The state is currently in a tossup according to TPM’s Electoral Scoreboard, but the new Monmouth poll caused Trump to take a slight lead over Clinton in the TPM PollTracker Average for the first time in weeks.

In the Monmouth poll, Trump leads Clinton, 44-42, among likely voters in the Silver State, with Libertarian Gary Johnson trailing at 8 percent.

Clinton held a 4-point lead, 45-41, among Nevada voters when Monmouth last polled the state in July, with Johnson following at 5 percent.

The poll was conducted Sept. 11-13 among 406 likely Nevada voters, with a margin of error of plus or minus 4.9 percent.

TPM’s PollTracker Average for the general election in Nevada shows a tossup, with Clinton leading Trump, 44 to 42.5.
