Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) comes out six points ahead of Democratic challenger Patrick Murphy in the latest Quinnipiac University poll of the U.S. Senate race in Florida.

Rubio leads the poll of likely Florida voters, 50-44.

The incumbent senator’s lead grew since Quinnipiac polled the race in October, where he led by just two points, 49-47.

The Quinnipiac University poll was conducted Oct. 27-Nov. 1 among 626 likely Florida voters via live telephone interview, with a margin of error of plus or minus 3.9 percent.

TPM’s PollTracker Average for the U.S. Senate election in Florida shows Rubio leading Murphy, 49.9 to 46.5.

    I usually add the margin of error to the dem’s total, as a starting point.

    6 points is more than the margin though.

    Strange Florida would want to elect someone who obviously is only running as to not have the word “former” in front of “senator” when they run for president in 4 yrs.

  2. I can’t imagine little marco getting elected again. He basically told the entire state he didn’t like the job of being a US Senator. If he wins again, the good folks of Florida are dimmer than I thought.

    On the other hand, I can’t say much because LePew was re-elected here. Ugh.
