New Hampshire Senate Candidates Tied In Latest Monmouth Poll

Incumbent Sen. Kelly Ayotte (R-NH) is tied with Democratic challenger and current governor Maggie Hassan in a poll of the U.S. Senate race in New Hampshire from Monmouth University.

The contentious senate race has been closely followed as Democrats attempt to gain majority control of the U.S. Senate on Nov. 8.

Hassan and Ayotte are tied at 46 percent among likely voters, with Libertarian candidate Brian Chabot polling at 5 percent.

Ayotte led by a small two point margin, 47-45, when Monmouth University last polled the race in mid-September.

The Monmouth University poll was conducted via live telephone interview from Oct. 22-25 among 401 likely New Hampshire voters and has a margin of error of plus or minus 4.9 percent.

TPM’s PollTracker Average for the U.S. Senate race in New Hampshire shows Hassan leading Ayotte, 45.7 to 43.5.
