Sen. Kelly Ayotte (R-NH) leads over Democratic challenger Gov. Maggie Hassan in a new MassINC/WBUR poll of the U.S. Senate race in New Hampshire.

This latest poll, showing a significant improvement for Ayotte since the pollster’s previous release, moved the closely-watched New Hampshire race into a tossup on TPM’s Senate Scoreboard.

The incumbent senator leads the poll, 51-45, among likely New Hampshire voters including leaning votes.

Ayotte comes out ahead from a tie at 47 percent in an October MassINC/WBUR poll of the closely-followed senate race.

The MassINC/WBUR poll was conducted Oct. 29-Nov. 1 via live telephone interview among 500 likely voters, with a margin of error of plus or minus 4.4 percent.

TPM’s PollTracker Average for the U.S. Senate race in New Hampshire shows a tossup, with Hassan leading Ayotte, 46.7 to 45.7.
