Sen. Kelly Ayotte (R-NH) holds a one-point advantage, 48-47, over Democratic Gov. Maggie Hassan in a new poll of the New Hampshire U.S. Senate race from NBC News/Wall Street Journal/Marist released Wednesday.

When NBC News/Wall Street Journal/Marist last surveyed the race in September, Ayotte led by eight points, 52 to 44 among likely New Hampshire voters. A recent WMUR/University of New Hampshire Granite State poll showed Hassan leading by nine points.

The NBC News/Wall Street Journal/Marist poll was conducted via live telephone interview from Oct. 20-24 and included 768 likely voters with a margin of error of plus or minus 3.5 percentage points.

TPM’s PollTracker Average for the U.S. Senate election in New Hampshire shows Hassan leading Ayotte, 46 to 44.5.
