From senators to the accuser to family members, women of all stripes involved in the sexual assault allegation against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh have received violent threats in recent days.

Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) is joining Sen. Susan Collins (R-ME) to report that her office is being inundated with angry and threatening calls and messages.

“Since the allegations about sexual assault became public, we’ve been getting a significant number of calls and emails, mostly from other parts of the country, that have been disrespectful and ugly,” a Feinstein spokesperson told McClatchy. “Calls have included threats of bodily and sexual harm against staff. Emails have come in with threats and highly offensive insults to specific staff members by name.”

Collins told a radio station in Maine Wednesday that her office has received “pretty ugly voicemails, threats, terrible things said to my staff.”

According to a Thursday Wall Street Journal report, Kavanaugh’s wife, Ashley, has also received frightening emails saying things like: “May you, your husband and your kids burn in hell” and “FUCK YOU AND YOUR RAPIST HUSBAND.”

Lawyers for Kavanaugh’s accuser, professor Christine Blasey Ford, say that she has received such graphic death threats, along with invasions like her email and social media accounts being hacked, that she has had to relocate her family.

Blasey Ford does not have any security, while Kavanaugh has had 24/7 protection from the US Marshals since being nominated in July.

And may be we could delay till Thursday of next week given the very different circumstance that Blasey Ford has in order for her to arrive in safety for testimony?

Let’s be clear here… The threats to Dr. Blasey can not be compared in ANY WAY to the other threats mentioned in this article. There is just no comparison… the Senators have staff and protection provided that Dr. Blasey does not.

Also, it’s most likely that the volume and intensity of Blasey Ford’s mail is considerably more intense than Susan Collins’ or Mrs. Kavanaugh’s.
