President Donald Trump has eschewed the coordinated response and war room favored by former President Bill Clinton during impeachment, opting instead for a scattershot defense helmed by his Twitter feed.
According to the Washington Post, the loose theme of the defense is to attack the detractors, like the Bidens.
Some Republicans reportedly wish that Trump would run a tighter ship, as he has in recent days floated that impeachment could cause a Civil War and asserted that he is actively trying to unmask the whistleblower.
Trump is mostly concerned with keeping those Republicans on board, as he can’t afford too many defections to avoid removal from office if the House impeaches him.

There is no one I want running Donald Trump’s impeachment defense more than Donald Trump himself, although the idiots around him (Giuliani, Sekulow, etc.) could not possibly do any better.
Having Fat Ass digitally drooling a large percentage of each day on Twitter, and watching his GOP fluffers having to defend the moron 24 hours a day, would not only seal his doom, it would also provide us with hilarity of astronomical proportions.
I assume this will go about as well as with anyone who decides to represent himself in court, rather than use a lawyer…
All I can say is, “proceed, #TraitorTrump.”
I like Trump’s strategy here because it is incredibly stupid and increases the odds that he gets removed from office.
RudyColludy would only succeed in making things worse so I fervently hope he is part of the “not a war room” team.
