MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough pilloried his former party Thursday morning, saying that Russians are “celebrating” that Republicans are “useful idiots” in their scheme to undermine American democracy.

“Republicans, celebrate,” he said about their behavior during former special counsel Robert Mueller’s hearings. “What a great day it was for you and Vladimir Putin, I know you are happy about it, good luck with that.”

Scarborough also tweeted during the hearings themselves, lamenting his past party affiliation.
