Democrats on the House Intelligence and Financial Services committees have subpoenaed Deutsche Bank and multiple other banks seeking information about President Donald Trump’s finances “and the lenders’ business dealings with Russians,” The New York Times reported Monday citing several unnamed people with knowledge of the investigation.
The reported subpoenas come as House Oversight Committee Chairman Elijah Cummings (D-MD) subpoenaed Trump’s accountant on Monday.
In addition to Deutsche Bank, the Times reported that subpoenas went out to Citigroup, JPMorgan Chase and Bank of America, according to two unnamed people familiar with the subpoenas.
One unnamed person familiar with the subpoenas said they sought, in the Times’ words, “records related to business the banks did with a list of suspected money launderers from Russia and other Eastern European countries.”
A spokesperson for Deutsche Bank told the Times the bank was “engaged in a productive dialogue” with the committees.
“We remain committed to providing appropriate information to all authorized investigations in a manner consistent with our legal obligations,” they said.
The Times’ David Enrich wrote on Twitter that nine banks total had received subpoenas.

Perhaps it will emanate from Deutsche Bank.
If Chump and his ill-favoured gang of legal beagles are spending all their time running around trying to (is quash the right word?) subpoenas…they won’t have as much time to devote to other ratflogging. They can’t stop them all I am guessing.
