MOSCOW (AP) — Russian President Vladimir Putin has refrained from making any criticism of U.S. President Donald Trump.
Speaking at a news conference on Tuesday, Putin dismissed a question whether he was disappointed in Trump as “naive.”
In comments carried by Russian news agencies, Putin said Trump is “not my bride, and I’m not his groom.”
Asked how Russia would feel if Trump were impeached, Putin said it would be “absolutely wrong” for Russia to discuss domestic U.S. politics:
Russian officials cheered Trump when he was elected last year, and Putin praised him as someone who wanted to improve ties with Russia. However, further U.S. sanctions on Russia and the U.S. decision to close a Russian consulate have raised concerns that the two countries remain far apart.
Buyer’s remorse.
That’s the problem with strongmen like Putin - they have no sense of humour or basic humanity, and just can’t pick up the scent of bullshit on the air. They should’ve known what Trump was before Russia made enemies of the world’s democracies getting Trump get elected.
Nobody talks about how poorly Putin has played this attempt to end sanctions gone haywire, yet as far as I can see he’s been the biggest boob in this sordid tale. Those sanctions aren’t going anywhere.
Really. We’re enemies. Mortal enemies. We hate each other more than two people could possibly hate each other. Believe us. We’re two believable, mortal enemies. Really.

Being called a bride by Putin. That’s going to leave a mark on Trump’s fragile, little ego.
But is trump Putin’s hooker?
Sounds like a good title for a B movie: “Trump, Bride of Putin.”
I may call him that from now on.
