Former Bush Press Secretary Dana Perino appeared on Fox News earlier today, unequivocally concluding that the Obama Administration is wrong to say the stimulus worked because “I just look at all the polling data and no one believes it.”
Perino responded to a question about when the current economy becomes “Obama’s economy,” saying that “it is now. And they can try to blame it on the president as much as they want, but their numbers reflect that everybody gets it.”
They try to claim that the stimulus bill worked and I just look at all the polling data and no one believes it. Especially when they read in their local papers that all these fake jobs were created, and there was all this fraud in the reporting. For the most transparent government in history that we’re supposed to have I think that their numbers should reflect that.
Perino was also asked whether she knows what a “saved job” really is: “No, I always say though ‘Boy, I wish I would have come up with that cockamamie scheme,’ because they just keep using it, but actually it’s come back to bite them because they can’t prove it, they’ve admitted they can’t prove it, and it’s fake and everybody knows it.”
