The spokeswoman for first lady Melania Trump, who has been snarky with reporters in the past, got into a Twitter spat this week with Andy Lassner, a Twitter provocateur and the executive producer of “The Ellen Show.”
In a tweet, Lassner defended the caravan of migrants approaching the U.S., which has inspired a great deal of right-wing fear-mongering in recent days. He said he’d prefer to have the caravan enter the U.S. than “another Melania.”
I’m way more afraid of another Melania getting in to this country than I am of any caravan of human beings seeking asylum.

Stephanie Grisham responded with a sarcastic invite to the first lady’s “talk about kindness.”
Hi @andylassner @flotus is hosting children at the White House today to talk to them about kindness … should I save you a seat? https://t.co/qi4AxqfRZI

Lassner shot back: “Is it dressy?”
Yes!!
Will she be talking about how she pushed her husband’s theory that our first black president was born in Kenya?
What about her “I don’t care, do you jacket” worn while babies were being ripped away from parents at the border?
What time should I arrive?
Is it dressy? https://t.co/WFZWH3A2S9
