Former White House counsel Don McGahn is rejoining his old law firm, Jones Day this month, The Washington Post reported.
He made a point to tell the Washington Post that he has no plans for any books or speeches about his time in the Trump administration.
“I enjoy the practice of law and I look forward to coming back to Jones Day,” McGahn told the Post Sunday. “I’m just going to practice law. No paid corporate speeches and no books, unlike some others who have worked in the White House.”
McGahn also plans to stay involved as an outside adviser to Republicans on the nomination of judges to federal courts and the Supreme Court. McGahn’s most notable accomplishments in the White House were his roles in the nomination and confirmation of Supreme Court Justices Neil Gorsuch and Brett Kavanaugh.
Shorter McGahn: “working for Trump harmed my reputation. I plan to hide that and hope people forget.”
And maybe , just maybe the Trump Stank will wash off and I won’t be disbarred for being within a mile of his skanky ass
If Gorsuch and Kavanaugh are “accomplishments”, I’d hate to see his failures.
Best way to avoid disbarment is to lie low, and hope no one pays any attention to you any longer.
… and continue to serve as a party apparatchik in the service of turning the Judiciary into a far right Christian bastion of judicial activism.
