ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) — A Minnesota judge says she’ll decide soon whether to issue an order barring Black Lives Matter from staging a protest at the Mall of America.

Judge Karen Janisch heard arguments by attorneys for the mall and protest organizers Monday, two days before the scheduled Wednesday protest over the police shooting of a black man in Minneapolis last month.

Mall attorney Susan Gaertner says it is private property and that the owners prohibit demonstrations.

Jordan Kushner, an attorney for the protest organizers, says the mall still doesn’t have the right to ban speech.

The mall is hoping to prevent the type of disruption that thousands of protesters caused last year, when stores had to temporarily close and dozens of people were arrested.

So freedom of speech can be renegotiated, too?

Private property, huh? Maybe you should ban everybody from coming, especially those pesky Christmas shoppers.

  3. Nothing says “support our cause” like stopping shoppers from shopping on the day before Christmas eve, and damaging the business of stores. BLM is increasingly self-destructive and run by morons.

Finding a public space in Minnesota for an effective protest in winter without freezing off extremities ain’t easy.

  5. Not right now. It’s 40 F in Minneapolis. Winter is gone. And besides, who the fuck gave these morons the right to demand a comfortable place to protest? And exactly what does the Mall of America have to do with the death of that kid?

This is yet again a protest run by morons, who are too stupid to actually figure out how to get people to support them. They are routinely hated by all non-idiots. They block streets. They scream at people.

Every time I hear about a BLM protest, I wonder “Where are they when some black 3 YO is killed by some drive-by gang-banger?” Of course, where they are is suppressing people from actually helping police. Remember “don’t be snitchin’” and “No snitchin’”? That’s the other side of BLM - actually helping criminals by stopping witnesses from testifying.
