Jon Stewart lit into Mitt Romney on Wednesday, saying the former Massachusetts governor wants to be president so bad, “Al Gore can taste it.”

And since the Daily Show taped before the Republican presidential debate Wednesday night, Stewart took on the “brilliantly arbitrary” economic speech Romney gave on Tuesday, where he said needs to be a “jobs machine.”“Of course!” Stewart said. “A jobs machine, it’s so easy! And instead of going to war, we should come up with some sort of peace machine. And an anti-cancer ice cream.”

And with that, Stewart launched his new segment, “Oh, my God, Rick Perry is going to be our next president.”
