Sen. Jim Inhofe (R-OK) said yesterday that Al Gore is ignoring evidence that calls global warming into question, and said the former vice president is kind of like two female ostriches sticking their heads in the sand to hide from two male ostriches.
Inhofe was talking on the Senate floor yesterday about “climategate,” and said that “Gore seems to be drowning in a sea of his own global warming illusions. Nevertheless, he is desperately trying to keep global warming alarmism alive today.”
That’s when he compared Gore’s “global warming illusions” to the timeless tale of the ostriches who stuck their heads in the sand:
It kind of reminds me of the story of the two boy ostriches, chasing the two girl ostriches through the woods, and they’re catching them. And one girl ostrich said to the other as they came up to a clearing, “What’ll we do?” And they said, “Well, let’s hide.” And so each of the girl ostriches stuck their heads in a respective hole, and the boy ostriches came galloping up to the clearing and one looked at the other and said, “Where’d the girls go?” Well, this is what we’re looking at here.
